Quality photographs are crucial for any model.
They are your first impression on clients and future employers,
and can determine how much work you receive as a model. Legend Lady's professional
photographers discuss the goals of your shoot before you begin.
Your photos say a lot about you. They give clients insight into your
personality, style, and professionalism,
so be sure the photos you choose accurately reflect who you are.
Never submit photos that are poorly exposed, out of focus, un-cropped, or out of date.
Choose photos that accentuate your best features, and show
your face and body clearly.
Clients are often looking for a very specific look.
In order to grab their attention, it is important to have
a variety of looks in your photos. Our photographers understand this,
and are willing to experiment with differnet poses, lighting, angles,
and locations. Remember, your photos are your selling point, and the
first step towards building a profitable career.
Maintaining a healthy and presentable appearance is necessary for all models.
For assignments, this includes keeping your hair clean and styled,
nails well manicured, and makeup well applied.
Be sure to show up for work well-rested, because days can be long and
may require you to be on your feet for an extended period of time.
Because modeling involves a constant change of work environments, it is also
important to stay organized and keep a detailed schedule of times and locations
where you are required to be.
Promotional models are hired by a client to help promote their product or services.
Therefore, it is the models' responsibility to educate themselves about the
brand and products they are promoting, by reading and memorizing the information provided.
If a uniform or specific clothing is required, make sure that you have
everything necessary and it fits correctly.
These are details that should be worked out well before the day of the promotion.
The more effort you put into preparing for a job, the more it will pay off in the end.
Models that show up for work fresh, looking their best, and excited to work, receive
positive referrals and will have more rewarding careers in the industry.
Modeling is fun and often a financially rewarding career, but it is also hard work
and should be taken seriously. Professionalism is imperative for success in the industry,
and it begins with punctuality. If you want to earn a good reputation,
you should always arrive on time and be prepared to work.
It seems simple, but it can make or break a model. To avoid tardiness, make sure that
you know the exact location of your assignment, and keep in contact with your
event manager.
In promotional modeling, clients are paying you to represent their brand.
They expect you to be friendly, confident, and show an interest in their product or service.
While you are working, it is important to smile and try to speak with as many people as possible.
Also, keep in mind that anyone you work with can be a reference into your character, work ethic,
and professionalism, so always be respectful and try to make a good impression.
Maintain your professionalism by continually having a positive attitude,
looking presentable, and showing commitment to your job.
Just as a good performance can lead to more jobs,
a poor showing can give you a bad reputation, and hurt your chances of earning future work.
